Degree Engineering

Mechanical Engineering education is a very strategic and specialized segment where the engineers are being trained to meet the innovative demands of futuristic technologies. In the recent past, Department of Mechanical Engineering at DU has established itself as one of the premier brands in technical education in region and has enhanced its reputation by introducing B.Tech. and M.Tech. programs. Department of Mechanical Engineering at DU has flourished to a great extent due to their experienced faculties from diversified fields, optimal faculty to student ratio and enthusiastic students. Department of Mechanical Engineering focuses on comprehensive course curriculum with intense practical exposure to students which will enable them to take up challenging roles in professional careers. Our initiatives are aimed to transform education and build careers of our students with whole hearted acceptance from industries across the nation. We give equal emphasis on fundamental studies, practical exposure and industrial orientation. Department is also encouraging their faculties for quality improvement programs to learn latest change and trends in their respective fields.

Academics

Automobile Department

The department provides the education in the area of internal combustion engine, vehicle dynamics, vehicle maintenance and garage practice, automobile air-conditioning, heat transfer, transport management and laws, design of various automobile components and systems.

Mechanical Department

Civil Department

It is the branch with a lot of diversity right from Surveying, Geo-technology to Structural Engineering, Environmental Sciences to Hydraulics, and Transportation to Hydrology. Civil Engineering can be considered as the single largest core engineering branch.

Electrical Department

Department is equipped with latest state of art laboratories for electrical machines, power electronics, power systems with software, control systems, integrated circuits, electric circuits, measurements and instrumentation lab, engineering practices lab and electronics design lab with excellent computing facilities.

Computer Department

The computer science program provides students with a broad and deep foundation in theory and modern software and hardware concepts as well as introduces students to numerous programming languages and paradigms. Students have an opportunity to engage in significant programming and software development work, learning to innovate as well as invent new technologies, and we also offer students opportunities to collaborate on both traditional and applied research.
